2. Account Creation and Security

To use ZenBucks, you need to create an account using Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Data Ownership

You retain full ownership of all financial data you create within the application. Your transaction data is stored securely in the cloud, allowing you to access your information across multiple devices.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

ZenBucks operates on a freemium model.

  • The free plan provides access to core features of the app.
  • Note: Unlimited AI usage (beyond free credits) and advanced analytics require a ZenBucks Pro subscription.
  • All payments and subscriptions are processed securely through Google Play Billing (for Android) or Apple’s App Store (for iOS).

We do not collect or store your payment details. Subscriptions are managed directly through your respective app store account.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided "as is" without any warranties, expressed or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components. We are not responsible for any financial decisions you make based on the app's features or content.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ZenBucks and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

  • Your use or inability to use the app
  • Any financial decisions made based on the app's features or content
  • Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
  • Inaccuracies or errors in calculations or data presentation
  • Any other matter relating to the app

7. Financial Disclaimer

ZenBucks is a tool for personal financial tracking and is not a substitute for professional financial advice. The app provides features for tracking expenses, income, and budgets, but does not offer financial planning, investment advice, or other financial services. Always consult with a qualified financial advisor before making important financial decisions.

8. AI Features

The AI buddy feature in ZenBucks uses OpenAI's API to process your messages and extract transaction details.
While we strive to ensure the accuracy of these features, we cannot guarantee that all transactions will be correctly identified or categorized. You should review all AI-suggested transactions for accuracy before confirming them.
By using AI features, you consent to limited text data being securely processed by OpenAI to deliver this functionality.

9. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of your device and account
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • The accuracy of the financial information you enter
  • Ensuring your use of the app complies with applicable laws

10. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use ZenBucks for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the service. You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the app or any systems or networks connected to the app.

11. Permissions

ZenBucks may request access to:

  • Notifications to send reminders and updates
  • Camera and Photos/Media to scan receipts or upload images
    These permissions are used solely for providing core functionality. We do not access or use your data for any other purpose.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Users will be notified of any changes via in-app notifications. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

14. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the app immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including, without limitation, if you breach these Terms of Service.
